Quick render, easy interface

Used the AI Render for a quick office space idea. Interface was straightforward. Got my design fast. Happy with the result.

Easy to use, loved it

I tried out the free version of Homestyler for a bit then decided to get the Pro Subscription. It was super easy to upgrade and I liked how quickly I could access all the extra features. My living room design turned out way better than I thought it would, especially with the 4K Rendering. Felt pretty good about the whole thing.

Detailed bedroom design experience

I purchased a credit pack to try out some advanced features for a bedroom design. The process to buy credits was smooth, and they showed up in my account instantly. I specifically wanted to experiment with the Lighting Design Tool and the Texture Editor. Both worked really well, letting me fine-tune everything. Uploading my own floor plan was simple and converted to 3D without issues. The Panorama VR view was a nice touch for visualizing the space. My only minor gripe was finding specific items in the 3D Furniture Library took a bit of scrolling sometimes, but the search function usually helped. Definitely helped me visualize the room before buying anything.

Good for planning, few quirks

I got the Master Subscription to plan out a kitchen remodel. The Kitchen Planner and 3D Furniture Library were really helpful, and the 8K Rendering made my designs look sharp. What bugged me a little was that sometimes the Custom Model Upload was a bit slow to process. Overall though, it's a solid tool and a good value for what you get.

I saw something about Homestyler points. How do you earn them, and what can you even use them for?

C Chris J. 2 months ago
You earn points by being active on the platform, like sharing designs, completing tasks, stuff like that. You can then use them to get free renders or discounts on subscriptions.

Yeah, mostly for free renders. It's a nice little bonus if you're using it a lot. Check your profile dashboard for how many you have and what you can redeem.

Is Homestyler better than Planner 5D? Or like, why would I pick Homestyler over that one?

N Nina 2 months ago
Homestyler's rendering quality is way better, especially for the higher tiers. And the 3D furniture library feels more extensive to me. Planner 5D is okay, but Homestyler just feels more professional without being harder to use.

I've used both. Homestyler has more features if you're getting serious, like custom model uploads and the AI tools. Planner 5D is simpler for basic stuff but Homestyler offers more room to grow.

Anyone know if they do student discounts for the Pro plan? Or is it just educators?

K Kevin 2 months ago
I think they do! My friend got one last year for their architecture program. You usually have to verify your student status.

D David S. 2 months ago
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they have both student and educator discounts. Check their site, usually under a 'licenses' or 'education' section.

Is it worth upgrading to the Master plan over Pro if I'm just doing a few projects for my own house?

K Kate Kim 2 months ago
Probably not, unless you need super high-res 8K renders or the really advanced collaboration tools. Pro is usually more than enough for personal projects. Master is more for professionals or teams.

For a few house projects, Pro should cover everything you need. The Master plan feels like overkill unless you're running a business.

can you upload your own 3D models into Homestyler? Got some custom furniture pieces I'd love to see in my design.

O Omar 1 month ago
Yup, totally can. It's one of the cooler features. I've uploaded a few weird models from SketchUp without much trouble.

Does Homestyler work okay on a Mac? Or is it more PC focused?

J June 2 months ago
It's web-based, so it works fine on any OS with a modern browser. I use it on my Macbook Pro all the time.

No issues on my Mac. Just make sure your browser is updated and you have a decent internet connection since it's all online.

Any experience cancelling a subscription? Is it a hassle to get out of, or pretty straightforward?

R Renee 2 months ago
Pretty straightforward. I cancelled my Pro plan after my project was done. Just went into the account settings and hit cancel. No big drama.

D Dana D. 2 months ago
Yeah, I did it once. No pushback, just a few clicks in your account settings. Super easy.

hey, was thinking about getting Homestyler for a kitchen reno. how easy is it to actually use? I'm not some pro designer or anything.

E Elena A. 2 months ago
Super easy honestly. I did my living room with it and the drag and drop stuff is pretty intuitive. The AI stager is surprisingly helpful too for getting ideas.

Yeah, I'm no expert either and got the hang of it pretty quick. They have a free version you can try out first if you want to kick the tires.
